This time of year is perfect for it: hearty chicken and tomato based stew. Not soup! For there is nothing liquid-y about this deliciousness. This southern staple is actually only available in grocery stores down South. Which is why I lug back 20 oz. cans of it in my suitcase.
There are now three cans left and I promised Natasha I’d share.

my dad loves this stew. he has been looking for it for a long time. would love to know more information and how to order and if we can do it through the mail system too.

Hi Arlene – It’s the best! I’ve seen it on Amazon, you can order it that way. I haven’t had to order it because I fly back often enough, or folks coming this way always bring some. I’ve also seen it on http://www.shopfoodex.com. I’m still trying to get my grocery store to carry it!
